ACCESS Virtual Learning is an education initiative of the Alabama Department of Education. It provides opportunities and options for Alabama public high school students to engage in Advanced Placement (AP), electives, and other courses to which they may not otherwise have access or be able to schedule. The North Alabama region is made up of over 200 schools.
Mr. Swann was vital in preparing and implementing the new ACCESS platform this year. His efforts resulted in a smooth transition for Hackleburg High School students. He also shared his expertise with surrounding facilitators to help with implementation at other schools. Mr. Swann strives for students taking ACCESS courses to do well and constantly monitors their progress.
Mr. Swann is one of three regional selections who will be considered for State Facilitator of the Year!
