We are happy to announce for the 2024-2025 school year: FREE LUNCH AND BREAKFAST FOR ALL STUDENTS! NO CHARGE! NO free or reduced applications will be needed from parents this school year. No action is required by parents for students to eat free. Please note the first complete meal is free, however extra plates or items must be purchased. All visiting children, adults, and employees will be required to pay for meals. www.paypams.com is still available for anyone that wishes to add money to his or her child(ren)'s accounts. Barry Kerr (Small Group Counselor), Bridget Perkins (School Based Mental Health Therapist), and Ashley Seaborn (Mental Health Services Coordinator - not shown) were recognized at today's board meeting for Mental Health Awareness Month. We are grateful to have them!

Due to the threat of severe weather, all Marion County Schools will be delayed two hours tomorrow, Thursday, May 9th. Be weather aware and stay safe!

Marion County Principals, Assistant Principals, and Central Office Administrators strive to be lifelong learners. We have participated in two years of administrative leadership training that involved both individual coaching at the school level and system whole group training. Kacy Pierce, Denise Woods, and Cheryl Capps were our trainers and mentors. During the process they have become partners and friends of Marion County Schools.

The GES Book Fair will be next week- April 29 to May 3. Please send Book Fair money in a labeled envelope. Thank you for your support!

Just a reminder for GES car rider student pick up line. Anyone picking up a student will need their card- placed somewhere in a visible location. This is in place for a quick and safe car line. -If you don't have a card at car riders- Students will be picked up from the office by an adult on the checkout list (verified in the office) -If you have lost your card and need one, call the school for a replacement or extra one -If you have someone picking up your student and they don't have a card, call the school ahead of time so the student can have a note to ride with that person *This is in place for the safety of our students. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the school.

Tomorrow starts ACAP math for 4th, 5th, and 6th grades! Encourage your students to get a good nights rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and get to school on time. Let's rock this test!

The National Weather Service has put us under a level 3 threat of severe weather this afternoon. Therefore, all Marion County Schools will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon in order to give our buses time to get all of our students home safely. Be weather aware, and stay safe!

All Marion County Schools will be closed for Spring Break March 25-29, 2024. School will resume on Monday, April 1st. Have fun and stay safe!

Reminder - Pre K and kindergarten students do not go to school this Friday Mar 22 due to Kindergarten registration. Kindergarten Registration will be 3/22/24 from 8am to 2pm Parents/guardians, here's what to bring: your child (age five by Sept 1), Birth Certificate, ss card, proof of residency, and immunization record. It's National School Breakfast Week!

There will be no school for Marion County students tomorrow, March 1st, 2024. This will be a workday for teachers.

All Marion County Schools will be closed Monday, February 19, 2024 in observance of Presidents' Day.
