We are gearing up for Alabama Sun Bucks, preloaded cards with a one-time benefit for summer, and need your help to ensure student information is up-to-date. Parents who have changed their address since registration need to contact their child's school and update their address in PowerSchool by February 28th. Keeping records current will help us serve families more efficiently and make sure children have access to nutritious meals. Thank you!
During today’s Board of Education meeting, our school counselors were proudly recognized for their dedication and service to our district. This group plays an essential role in supporting students’ academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and college and career readiness. They wear many hats each day—advocate, mentor, problem-solver, encourager, and leader—often working behind the scenes to ensure every student has the support needed to succeed. We are deeply grateful for their unwavering commitment, compassion, and service to our students and schools. Thank you to our outstanding school counselors for the difference you make every single day! Showcasing the 5th graders that won the spelling challenge by understanding how to use meanings of Greek and Latin roots and suffixes to change words parts into the correct spelling of words then chose the correct words for sentence context.
These students worked in groups and won their spelling trophies as a group for the week! 🏆
