Since 1962, when President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week (NSLW), this annual observance has promoted the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has both in and out of the classroom. #NSLW23 will be celebrated October 9-13.

Twenty-one Phillips High School students got the chance to give back today by serving with the Shoals area Habitat For Humanity. Mr. Mike King, JAG instructor, organized the event as a service project through Jobs For Americas Graduates (JAG) and local PHS JAG classes.
The annual Federal Programs Advisory Committee met today at the Marion County Board of Education. We always appreciate the discussion and suggestions of the members present.

Due to the excessive heat forecast for the next few days, please help your child avoid dehydration by having them drink plenty of water.
💉Flu shots will be available to all Marion County students (except those with PEEHIP BCBS) on September 12th. Consent forms will be sent home soon. Please return them to your school nurse if you would like for your student to receive the flu vaccine. 💉
