Phillips High School JAG students participated in the State-Wide Service Project by collecting 200 pairs of socks to be donated to the Salvation Army to help the homeless population. This project was decided on by the Alabama NCA State Ambassadors who were inspired by "Bombas founders Randy Goldberg and David Heath who learned that socks are the number one most requested item in homeless shelters. As a result, Mr. Goldberg and Mr. Heath decided to create a company that would donate socks to people experiencing homelessness."

No one should have to worry about whether they will have food on their plate or a roof over their head. As a society, we have the resources and knowledge to end hunger and homelessness — we just need the collective will to make these ideas a reality. #HHWEEK
