There will be a block party in the stage area of downtown Brilliant on Thursday, May 16th from 6:30-8:00 PM. All junior high and high school athletes, cheerleaders, and band members are invited to attend. There will be a potluck meal and lots of fun! Marion County High and Brilliant School began their skid steer training through Bevill State Community College. Hackleburg and Phillips High have begun their skid steer training through Northwest Shoals Community College. We are thankful for this opportunity for our students!
Marion County Principals, Assistant Principals, and Central Office Administrators strive to be lifelong learners. We have participated in two years of administrative leadership training that involved both individual coaching at the school level and system whole group training. Kacy Pierce, Denise Woods, and Cheryl Capps were our trainers and mentors. During the process they have become partners and friends of Marion County Schools.

The National Weather Service has put us under a level 3 threat of severe weather this afternoon. Therefore, all Marion County Schools will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon in order to give our buses time to get all of our students home safely. Be weather aware, and stay safe!
We are so proud of BHS junior Anna Mace. She is one of only two students selected by Tombigbee Cooperative to participate in their summer youth tour in Washington DC.

We are so proud of our students who are taking Career Technical Courses through a cooperative agreement with Winfield City Schools. T. Linley and B. Hulsey participated in Burn Week as part of the Fire Management program at Winfield High School. N. Pollard participated in a Hair Show as part of the Cosmetology program.

Next week, high school students will have the opportunity to participate

Updated Breakfast and Lunch Menus
Great news! We will be able to reopen schools in the morning, Tuesday, January 23rd. We will delay the start time one hour in the morning. If the bus usually picks your children up at 7:00, they will be picked up in the morning at 8:00. Welcome back!
Due to continued icy conditions on many of our secondary county roads and water issues in many areas of the county, all Marion County Schools will be closed tomorrow, January 22nd. Hopefully everything will thaw tomorrow as the temperatures warm into the 50's.
