A Message from Superintendent Ann West:
Due to the excessive heat forecast for the next few days, please help your child avoid dehydration by having them drink plenty of water.
Picture day is tomorrow. This is for high school faculty and students in 7th through 12th grade, including virtual students. These will be the school pictures that are used in the school yearbook!
Also, seniors don’t forget, we will be doing senior portraits tomorrow as well. Be sure to bring your $30 sitting fee, your outfits and any props such as uniforms, instruments, etc.
💉Flu shots will be available to all Marion County students (except those with PEEHIP BCBS) on September 12th. Consent forms will be sent home soon. Please return them to your school nurse if you would like for your student to receive the flu vaccine. 💉
Students/Parents: We will start our beginning of the year progress monitoring tests tomorrow. This gives us a baseline of where each student is at to start the school year. Please encourage your child to do their best.

Students: Class starts at 7:45 and make sure to bring your schedules with you to school you tomorrow.
Great news for the coming school year!!! Marion County Schools will participate in the Community Eligibility Program. The CEP program is a PILOT program for the 23-24 school year that allows all enrolled students to eat breakfast and lunch at no cost! CEP is based on the overall economic status of our regional area. NO free or reduced applications will be needed from parents this school year. No action is required by parents for students to eat free. Please note the first complete meal is free, however extra plates or items must be purchased. All visiting children, adults, and employees will be required to pay for meals. www.paypams.com is still available for anyone that wishes to add money to his or her child(ren)'s accounts. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
Here are a few tips to get you back into a school routine!
School will resume for Marion County students tomorrow, August 9th, and motorists will be sharing the road with school buses once again. Please allow additional time in your daily commute to accommodate more traffic, including buses, on the roadways. Our Transportation Department operates with our children’s safety as its number one priority. Please help them keep our children safe by keeping a watchful eye for school buses and being mindful of the law which pertains to them.
Just a reminder that student registration is tonight. Please enter through the gym entrance.
7th-9th : 5:00-6:30
10th-12th: 6:30-8:00
Student Registration will be August 7th! We have part of the registration packet ready to be picked up in the office if anyone wants to get it early to complete. It will not need to be turned in until registration.

High School report cards will be available for pickup on Tuesday, May 30th, after 9:00 a.m.
We will post on social media when report cards are ready for pick up. We just completed makeup exams today. With our new PowerSchool system, it is a process to complete end of year. We appreciate your patience.
Summer Classes begin today at Bevill State. Students that are enrolled in an online class, must log in today and complete the first assignment. This is an attendance assignment and your student may be dropped from the course if it is not completed.

Seniors,
Tomorrow is YOUR day!! Graduation practice at 8:00. Don't forget to bring your cap and gown. If you owe fees or fundraising money, etc., be ready to clear up your balance. Also, if you have a chromebook or uniform, you will need to turn those in.
Congratulations to these awesome students for finishing in the top 2% in the nation!!! They finished 16th in the nation and 2nd in Alabama with a score of 58.76! They represented Hackleburg High School and their community well!!!!
