jag
Through the efforts of Mr. Mike King these students have completed coursework and participated in regional and state competitions through Jobs for Alabama Graduates (JAG). This national program is completely grant funded and provides opportunities/training to prepare students for the workforce. Phillips High School is honored to be the only Marion County school to receive funding for JAG, which is used to provide instruction, materials, and educational opportunities for its members. Falling under the career technical education (CTE) program, Mr. King works closely with Marion County CTE Director Jason Bourland to provide these great opportunities for students. Today, PHS students toured the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Previously they competed in regional and state events in Florence and Birmingham. Thank you, Mike King and Jason Bourland, for making this possible for all of our students.
