food bank

The Northwest Alabama Food Bank provides a variety of groceries for area families. So far this Fall, Marion County Schools have complete 8 food banks for area residents; three at Phillips High School, two at Hackleburg High School, one at Hamilton Middle School, one at Marion County High School and one at Brilliant School. Patrons receive multiple bags and boxes of food from all food groups. Student and community volunteers at each location help distribute the food as an opportunity for community service. Organization of these events are thanks to Snap-Ed Educator Ginger Eatman and Marion County Extension. We would like to say a huge thank you to all those that participated in these events of service as well as the NW Alabama Food Bank for providing the resources needed for such a large donation of food for our communities.
