School Counseling Week

I am the counselor at Phillips High School, and I teach Spanish on Access. I graduated from Hackleburg High School, Northwest Shoals Community College, and then received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama. I became certified in Spanish through UNA. I received a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama.

I am married to James and have two children, Chris and Kayla. I have five grandchildren. I also raise sheep. My job consists of so many different things! But the best part of my job is talking with the students and building relationships with them. I enjoy knowing that I have helped a student with a problem to feel better. School counselor, aka Chaos Coordinator, is the best job in the school!
