Tomorrow, January 13th, all Marion County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay. All buses will run approximately 2 hours later than normal, and classes will begin 2 hours later than usual. This will allow shaded areas more time to clear before school in the morning. Be safe!

Due to the inclement weather expected, ALL Marion County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 10th. We will monitor the situation through the weekend and issue additional information as needed. Please be safe throughout the next few days!

Welcome back from the Christmas holidays! All Marion County Schools will resume tomorrow, January 7, 2025.

As the temperatures begin to drop this week, with highs only in the 30s, we realize we may have some students who will struggle to stay warm. We are hoping to provide these students with a gently used coat or blanket, and warm socks or gloves.
If your child needs some warm items, please reach out to Nurse Candice on Facebook or call her at the school tomorrow. You may also send a note with your student on Tuesday. Please be sure to include your students name, grade, sizes, and what is needed. We need these requests by Tuesday afternoon at 3pm. We hope to have these items to the students by Thursday or Friday. We will do our best to provide for each request, but we cannot guarantee each request will be fulfilled.
If you are a community member and wish to help, please reach out to Nurse Candice on Facebook or at the school tomorrow. Together, we can keep our students warm and learning ❤️
Thank you and Go Bears!

The Phillips High JAG Chapter has been very busy: they partnered with Alabama PALS (People Against A Littered State) organization to participate in the annual “School Campus Cleanup” program, and they also collected over 300 canned goods in partnership with the local Civitan chapter for those in need in the Bear Creek community for the Thanksgiving Holidays. Great job!
